Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard 🎮
One 'little' hope for RTS games?
I read today about Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard. I was surprised initially, maybe due to the deal amount of $68.7 billion(!!) But leaving the deal amount aside and after a bit of thinking. It made complete sense for Microsoft to go for this bold move!
Adding hit games like Activision Blizzard games to Xbox/PC library is a big win for Microsoft for the current years and their strategic aspirations towards the Metaverse.
Speaking of strategy.
I wish Microsoft would think about publishing new versions in the Real-time strategy genre that Activision Blizzard built then abandoned, like StarCraft 2 and WarCraft (The RTS version).
Out of this deal. I wish for StarCraft 3, and I'm good! 😄
